Many people have asked me what they can do to help. I believe that the best help is to make sure that it never happens again. I was the fifth Natural Science supervisor bullied out of the position by the same staff. And this has been handled very very badly by the elected Aldermen and upper management of the Launceston City Council.
The core wrong-doing of how this was handled is that decisions were made based on personal prejudices and friendly alliances, and it was all done in secrecy. Because I find this process dispicable, I don't believe that further such action is beneficial, simply because I raise issues here. I believe that a fair and just resolution will only come about when the facts are brought out on the table once and for all, and I believe that this will only transpire through strong public outcry for an enquiry.
If you want to help, Thank you!, and please consider taking action. A variety of avenues for action are presented below.
If you find the actions of the Launceston City Council to be despicable, there are a number of things you can do about it:
Attend COUNCIL MEETINGS and ask questions - by law, they are compelled to answer, either on the day or on notice. Council Meeting Dates and Procedures for Questions can be found HERE.
